Tarmac Technologies was founded with a simple mission: build technology that solves the operational challenges public safety agencies face every day.


Our journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when correctional facilities across Texas were struggling to balance visitation needs, staffing limitations, public health concerns, and evolving operational requirements. Existing processes relied heavily on manual scheduling, phone calls, spreadsheets, and significant staff resources.

Recognizing the need for a better solution, we partnered with industry professionals and technology experts to develop what would become VisitationLink—a platform designed to simplify visitation scheduling, reduce administrative burden, and improve the experience for both facility staff and visitors.


As agencies adopted the platform, we discovered that visitation scheduling was only one of many operational challenges facing public safety organizations. Facilities were managing transportation requests, offender registrations, attorney scheduling, evidence operations, and countless other processes using disconnected systems and manual workflows.


That realization shaped the future of Tarmac Technologies.
